This watch uses a AE-1200 base, customized by Chrono Customs. A black case and bracelet with a bold splash of colour. The Royale’s digital face keeps its familiar map, clear time display and travel-ready tools. It is an independently customized watch, not a factory edition.
Will It Fit My Wrist?
The case measures 42 mm. The listed wrist range is 15–21 cm. Send John your wrist size if you would like help checking the fit before you order.
When Will It Ship?
Your watch ships within five calendar days of your order. The date near the buy buttons is the dispatch date—not the arrival date. We then send it by tracked express shipping. Shipping fees and duties are covered.
Do I Need To Wind Or Charge It?
No winding or daily charging. The AE-1200 runs on a battery, with an approximate ten-year battery life depending on use.
Can I Swim With It?
This watch is listed at 100M water resistance for swimming and everyday use. Do not press the buttons underwater.

The Marais 33mm looks gorgeous and feels very solid, but for my tiny wrist it’s a little heavier than I expected. Quality is amazing though, so I kept it.

Sounds dramatic but this reminds me of my grandma’s old watches, just modern. The design is simple, no random crystals or weird logos, so I feel like it’ll still look good in ten years. I’ve already worn it to work, to church, and to a baby shower and it just fits every time. If my daughter ever gets into watches, this will be the one I hand her first.
